Bruce Grant is an old-age pensioner, lives with his Russian second wife in Moscow, but does not adhere to any political thinking… good, bad or ugly! He moved to Moscow in 1994, to bring some technology to the country, at that time, because his partner, in Canada, had attempted to steal his business from him, and eject him from the business partnership through greed.
He speaks some Russian (yet, very poorly) but he also teaches classical English, as a sort of Finishing School for students of any country. Earlier in his life, he worked on two different farms prior to going to Aberdeen University in Scotland reading Agriculture. He even taught Aberdonian police officers, in Scotland, how to drive on ice and snow! Boredom caused him to join Grampian television, in Aberdeen in 1966, to work as a trainee Transmission Controller.
He became a professional musician as well as a long-distance lorry driver, a 40-ton articulated lorry for Spar Foods, among other things, back in 1967.
Suffice it to say, that he 'inspected' many different life opportunities, including being nightclub bouncer, minicab driver (in London), chauffeur to the Shah of Iran, at the Iranian embassy, and finally became chauffeur to the chairman of Clarkson's holidays, assisting in the installation of the first UNIVAC real-time computers in the European hemisphere, to become one of their chief computer operators using assembler language, line printers and massive tape machines, as well as Hard disk drives (1969). Clarkson’s moratorium on salary increases and promotions caused him to emigrate to Canada and become involved with computers… Apple Computer equipment being the most successful of all the products he became involved with. Bruce worked with Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple in setting up Apple Computer (Canada) Inc. He achieved the world’s second highest productivity over quota for sales and marketing, in 1982 and 1983. He is still an Apple Computer evangelist to this day. He also owned his own advertising agency in Canada for seven years.
He calls his two daughters, both Canadian born (the elder living in the US,) generally, on a weekly basis and have a really good relationship with both of them.
He has had small speaking roles in 14 movies and six television series, as well as having recorded innumerable voice radio and television commercials and also created VoiceOver characters for other computer games and cartoons. He has since written many children's bedtime story books. And is completing a trilogy against bullying and criminal secret societies.
